CDEC Membership scheme

Our membership scheme represents excellent value for money. Membership entitles you to borrow up to 6 items a month free of charge (that's up to 72 items a year!), hire artefact boxes, receive termly newsletters, as well as receiving details of special offers and invitations to the various events CDEC puts on throughout the year.

Membership covers all Centres, to suit your convenience, but artefacts and resources on loan must be returned to the Centre they originated from, unless an alternative arrangement has been made with CDEC staff.

Our membership charges are as follows:

Student / Unwaged £15.00

Individual £25.00

Primary School / Small Organisation (<500 individuals) £40.00

Secondary School / Large Organisation (>500 individuals) £65.00

Membership runs from 1 September to 31 August, in line with the schools' academic year, and is renewable annually.

Membership entitles you to loan six resources for 4 weeks thereby giving access to 72 items every year, artefact collections may be hired at a nominal charge.

From 1 March to 31 August, membership is half-price, with the exception of the Student / Unwaged charge, which remains at £15.00 throughout the year.

Chester – Tuesday’s only 9.30am – 5.00pm

Halton – Wednesday’s only 3.00pm – 5.00pm
